Set Up: yesterday I was in Albertsons shopping with mother; my pathetic yet common insecurities around people kick in whilst I was running out to the car for a forgotten debit card. My insecurities being a worry of what people think of me and a general feeling of being out of place. Also a worry of others feelings and always wondering if I’m bugging them. Something I associate with never knowing what I want. Anyways. I was walking out of the store behind a bunch of mothers and as an exercise to calm my nerves I said to myself ‘I own this place, and I own all of you.’ Then I proceeded to tell them what to do in my mind. Which as it happened was exactly what they were doing. ‘Take those groceries out to that car. You better take that kid out of the cart, DO NOT DROP HIM, fine do I don’t care.’ It helped, and amused me. Win, win.
